Experimental Bookmarklets

These bookmarklets are not really useful. They are made for fun and to demonstrate the power of bookmarklets. Most of them only work in Internet Explorer.

To use a bookmarklet, simply click the link (or, if you use Explorer, drag it to another browser window).

To save the bookmarklet, add it to your favorites/bookmarks or drag the link to your desktop. If you use Explorer or Opera you can import all the bookmarklets in one easy operation.

Replace Banner Ads
This bookmarklet is for fun and shameless self-promotion. Use it on a page with banner ads. All banners of standard size (468*60 pixels) will be replaced with a different banner pointing to this home page. The new banner is downloaded from my web server.

Make your own banner, put it on your web server, and change this bookmarklet accordingly. It is very gratifying to see your own banner on a web site - even if you're the only one who can see it. Make sure your banner can be downloaded from the server. Most free web hosting servers don't allow you to retrieve images separately.

Note: Netscape and Mozilla don't change the url of the banner ad.

Example: Try the bookmarklet on this page.
